Healthcare Services

Baby Clinic 



Is held on Tuesday mornings. The Clinic is for well babies and provides an opportunity to discuss the child's development. All new babies are invited to attend regular checkups and immunisations from 8 weeks. If your child is unwell you should bring him/her to normal Surgery. If you want to weigh your baby or see the Health Visitors, no appointment is necessary they are located within the Mary Potter Centre. The GP’s and Practice Nurse will see children in practice on a Tuesday morning for immunisations and healthcare checks. 



New Pregnancies

When a female patient finds out that they are pregnant they are to notify practice of their pregnancy the Practice will then refer patient to midwife team who will then contact patient at 10-12 weeks pregnancy. Pregnant patients only need to be seen by the GP if they are unwell or have had previous gynaecological problems.
The midwife is responsible for booking in and then following up the care of pregnant women. The community midwives are available at the Mary Potter Centre.


Family Planning Clinic



We provide a family planning advice service. Our Practice Nurses will be pleased to help with general advice, pill checks or you can see a doctor by appointment.


Acupuncture & Osteopathy

If you need either of these services please see a doctor who will discuss your case and refer if appropriate. 



Asthma, Diabetes and Heart Disease

We would like to see you for regular checks if you have any of these conditions. Appointments can be made to see the practice nurse.

  • Over 75 health Checks
  • Blood and urine tests
  • Routine vaccinations e.g. flu, tetanus (as appropriate)
  • Travel vaccinations - Please arrange these at least 6 weeks before you travel
  • Blood pressure checks
  • Dressings
  • Childhood immunisations
  • Healthcare/Lifestyle advice – including smoking cessation, weight loss and management, sexual health, health eating and exercising.


Community Health Services

The following services are provided to our patients and are available at the Mary Potter Centre. Patients will be referred to these services by the GP or nurse.


Counselling and Stress Management - Mental Health nurses and counsellors are available.


Treatment Room - This is run on an appointment system within the Mary Potter Centre for patients requiring dressings and the management of chronic conditions such as leg ulcers.


Phlebotomy Clinic - This is run as a drop in system patients will have to wait to see the phlebotomist.


Minor Surgery - The practice has a contract via Nottingham City PCT for services to be provided by other Practices for procedures such as wart and verruca removal.
