Accountable/Named GP

From the 1st of April 2015, the practice is required under the terms of the latest GP contract to allocate all patients (including children) a named, accountable GP.

The Named Accountable GP for all patients at High Green Medical Practice is

Dr Zahoor Khan.

This is purely an administrative exercise in order that patients can have a named responsible GP should they require them and who is responsible for their overall care at the practice.

Having a named GP does not prevent you seeing any other doctor in the Practice. Your named GP will not be available at all times and, you will be offered appointments with other GPs to discuss your current immediate and urgent care needs

HIGH GREEN MEDICAL PRACTICE – PUBLICATIONS OF EARNINGS

All GP practices are required to declare the mean (average) earnings for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.

The average pay for GPs working in High Green medical practice in the last financial year was £64,606.00 before tax and National Insurance. This is for one full time GP, one salaried GP and four locum GPs who worked in the practice for more than 6 months.

It should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the practice, and should not be used to form any judgement about GP earnings, nor to make any comparison with any other practice.
